Who are they?
Success is subjective. No one destination fits all – so why would one path fit all?
At Step Up, we believe girls deserve to define and pursue success on their terms. By bringing girls together in inspired spaces – on and offline – we spark exploration and discussion of what’s possible. With structured support and access to a strong community, we guide girls towards their unique goals: first, by identifying those goals and then, building the roadmap to get there.
Whether there is college, an internship, a network, or simply confidence – we’re there for it and there for you.
My Journey and Role with Step Up
I have been a proud part of the Step Up Women’s Network community since 2016, and my journey with Step Up has grown and evolved in ways I never could have imagined when I first joined as a teen.
I was introduced to Step Up during high school, and what started as a program quickly became a community that helped me grow my confidence, develop my leadership skills, and connect with women who encouraged me to believe in myself and my future. During my time in high school, I became a Step Up Ambassador and had the opportunity to give back to the community that had already given me so much.
Step Up continued to be a part of my journey throughout college, supporting me along the way and celebrating milestones like my graduation from Columbia College Chicago. After years of being a participant, mentee, and Ambassador, I was excited to take the next step in my journey by becoming a Young Adult Social Media Ambassador.
Today, I use my creativity, communication skills, and passion for social media to help share Step Up’s mission and connect young women to the resources, events, mentorship, and opportunities the organization provides. I love being able to attend events, meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, create content, and share my own experiences with the next generation of Step Up girls.
Being able to go from a teen in the Step Up program to now representing the organization as a young adult is something I am incredibly proud of. Step Up has been a meaningful part of my life for many years, and I am grateful that I now have the opportunity to give back and help other young women find their voice, build confidence, and see what is possible for their future.
